Michael Flynn was born and raised in Middletown, Rhode Island, where he grew up in a large, Irish-American family. Michael Flynn’s Military Career

He began his career in the U.S. Army as a second lieutenant in military intelligence. He served in various capacities, including in the 82nd Airborne Division and participating in the invasion of Grenada and operations in South America.
